М1911 - self-loading pistol chambered for .45 ACP. Designed by John Moses Browning in 1908 as Colt-Browning (U.S. Patent 984519, Feb. 14, 1911). The pistol was in service with the US Armed Forces from 1911 to 1985, and is currently approved for use.
