The Y2K aesthetic is back. “Newstalgia” (or “nowstalgia”), a term referring to something brand new that harkens back to something old. We’re seeing a return to all things retro, from ’90s prints and patterns to the decor styles of the early 2000s, which remind us of simpler times. In designinig Y2K we thought about a digital background with bright neon colors, coherent with what we define today “instagrammable walls”: the Instagram generation will tend to appreciate more eye-catching interiors for sharing on their accounts.
