3D panel Tectonic
Modèle 3D - 3D panel Tectonic
Tectonic 3D relief is a new wall panel design by Olga Chebanova, our regular contributor.
The idea is based on several components:
Firstly, it's a puzzle that can be used to create a variety of different designs, somewhat reminiscent of Tetris; Olga loves puzzles, and everyone's favourite is Tria.
Secondly, it's a dance, hence the name - the changing lines and shapes are reminiscent of the broken movements of the 2000s club dance "electro-dance", also known as "tectonic".
The 3D relief consists of six types of panels, each 600x600mm in size and milled at a depth of 5mm. The interplay of the pattern is determined by the 100mm dimension: wherever it meets when joining the panels, an interesting transition or distinctive element is created. To prevent the pattern from appearing heavy and to create space within the "dance," the artist included one empty panel (i.e., a smooth panel without relief) in the composition. Any combination of elements can be combined in a single composition; it depends on the desired design in the interior: dense, rich in forms, or minimalist, with more "emptiness."
