Malibu is an artistic vision of the tropics by Paula Poprawska. The placement of pink flamingos on exotic vegetation, rendered in shades of blue rather than green, is a wink to the classic color division between girly pink and boyish blue. The hand-drawn watercolor treatment adds an artistic touch to Malibu, making it suitable for more than just a child's room.

The design was created by Paula Poprawska, creator of the children's brand @pookysworld. A landscape architect with extensive experience in computer graphics, she also creates hand-sewn plush toys in addition to illustrations, posters, and greeting cards. She specializes in watercolor and ink painting.
